ABOUT US
OUR VISION
The project “Advanced European platform and network of Cybersecurity training and exercises centres” (ACTING) will develop a network of advanced interconnected (federated) domain oriented cyber ranges for training and exercises. It aims to incorporate sophisticated methods and techniques for simulation of users, analysis of the performance of the cyber operators, and scoring cyber security situational awareness.
WHAT WE DO
The purpose of the ACTING project is to strengthen proactive cyber defense operators training exercises of the European Union through effective and efficient multi-domain collaboration and the development of advanced technologies. This includes developing a network of advanced interconnected (federated) domain-oriented cyber ranges for training and exercises, incorporating sophisticated methods and techniques for simulation of users, analysis of the performance of the cyber operators, and scoring cyber security situational awareness. Additionally, the project aims to develop tools for user simulation, automated performance analysis, a language for developing comprehensive and large-scale scenarios, and a federation of cyber ranges and information exchange for common cyber situational awareness.
WHO ARE WE?
The Advanced European Platform and Network of Cybersecurity Training and Exercises Centres (ACTING) project is a proposed 48-month initiative led by a Consortium of 28 entities from 13 European Union Member States (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, and Spain). The project is jointly supported by 6 EU Member States, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Cyprus, Portugal, and Spain. The goal of the ACTING project is to provide solutions to improve the efficiency of cyber defense training and exercises. To achieve this, the project aims to create and use advanced tools for user simulation, automated performance analysis, language development for comprehensive and large-scale scenarios, federation of cyber ranges, and a federated scoring system for end information exchange for common cyber situational awareness.
